World's Highest Rated Sprinter Ka Ying Rising Warms Up For The $20 Million Group 1 TAB Everest

WHAT: Hong Kong’s world-famous sprinter and TAB Everest favourite Ka Ying Rising will have a barrier trial as he continues to prepare for the world’s richest race on turf.

Superstar jockey Zac Purton will jet in from Hong Kong to ride the horse on the course proper, under the eye of Ka Ying Rising’s renowned Australian trainer David Hayes.

Ka Ying Rising will trial with other horses heading towards the Group 1 $20 million TAB Everest and Group 1 $ 5 million King Charles III Stakes, both to be run on Saturday 18 October at Royal Randwick.

WHO: Ka Ying Rising will parade in the Theatre of The Horse around 8.45am before heading to the course proper for the barrier trial, scheduled to jump at 9am.

Zac Purton and David Hayes will hold a media conference in the Theatre Of The Horse later in the morning once Ka Ying Rising has returned to the day stalls.

**PLEASE NOTE** all media are required to attend a briefing at 8.15am sharp at the Media Centre adjacent to the Theatre of The Horse to understand quarantine protocols and restricted areas. There will be no media access to the day stalls.

WHERE:  Entry from 7am via Alison Road or Ascot Street. Free parking is available in the Main Drive or in the multi-deck car park.
