Winx, the best race horse in the world, is set for her grand finale at The Championships Day 2 – Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes Day, with just 7,000 general admission tickets remaining for what will be a historic day at Royal Randwick on 13 April.
Winx will be aiming for a 33rd straight win and a world record 25th Group 1 victory when she contests the $4 million Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, a race she has won the last two years.
“Winx’s farewell run at Royal Randwick on 13 April will be one of the biggest moments in Australian sporting history,” ATC chief executive Jamie Barkley said.
“Corporate hospitality has been fully sold out for several weeks and we have one final new hospitality space which we have purpose built that has 260 tickets left.
“With just 7,000 general admission tickets left for sale, time is running out to secure a ticket to witness for a final time a once in a lifetime horse.
“Ticket sales are tracking ahead of last year’s Everest meeting, where we had 40,578. We are fast approaching a sell-out for the first time at Royal Randwick in decades.
“We know many people are travelling from all over Australia to be at Royal Randwick for Winx’s final run in the Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes.”
Last year’s attendance at The Everest was a record for Royal Randwick since the racecourse and grandstand redevelopment.
A crowd of 24,532 saw Winx win her fourth Group 1 George Ryder Stakes on Longines Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill Gardens last Saturday.
Don’t miss your chance to witness sporting immortality, and to farewell an Australian sporting icon in her final race.
