Rosehill Gardens Racecourse Manager Chris Toogood said that the weather has been favourable to produce a good racing surface for the weekend.
“We have had beautiful, fine weather all this week which has us sitting very comfortably in the Good 3 range,’’ Mr Toogood said.
“The rail has come out six metres and we have an excellent cover of grass ahead of the nine races and good sized fields this Saturday”.
On the track, Brenton Avdulla will be looking to extend his lead in the NSW Metropolitan Jockey Premiership when he partners with Gerald Ryan-trained Girl Sunday ($6.00 TAB Fixed Odds) in the $100,000 TAB.com.au Handicap.
The four-year-old Encosta De Lago mare led and finished a respectable fourth in her last start on 20 May at Rosehill Gardens.
Wild ‘n’ Famous for Snowden Racing has opened as the $5.00 TAB Fixed Odds favourite in the 1200m sprint after her second place run over Girl Sunday last run.
Similarly, So Willie ($3.50 TAB Fixed Odds) and Supply And Demand ($4.50 TAB Fixed Odds) will have a rematch on Saturday in the $100,000 Eremein Handicap after finishing first and second respectively at Royal Randwick on 27 May.
So Willie for Chris Waller has had a good preparation of three wins from four starts. Supply And Demand, trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott will be stepping up in distance (1800m) for the first time in his career.
