We are delighted to welcome back Members, General Admission racegoers and hospitality bookers to Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens for Sydney Winter Racing through July and August 2020. Advanced booking recommended. Social distancing and bio-security measures in place throughout the day including temperature checks for patrons on arrival, and the practising of increased hygiene and safe social distancing according to NSW Government Health Orders. Can I attend Saturday race meetings?

In line with the NSW Public Health Order, Australian Turf Club venues are open to a limited capacity to satisfying the 1 person per 4sqm law.


All raceday attendees must have a ticket issued by Moshtix. Members hard card passes cannot be used to gain entry. Details of attendees must be registered with the Club for track and trace purposes.


Each ticket includes a seat within a specified zone, offering full amenities including wagering facilities, restrooms, bars, eateries or dining. Movement to other zones is restricted, so we ask that you remain within your chosen zone.

Can I attend mid-week race meetings?

Mid-week race meetings are open to Owners, Members and the public.


Attendance for mid-week race meetings does not need to be registered online and a ticket does not need to be issued.


Upon arrival at the racecourse, guests will be required to undergo temperature checks and scan a QR code to register their name and contact details as per the NSW Government Public Health Order Track & Trace Policy.

I've visited Victoria recently, can I attend racedays?

Any person that has travelled to or from Victoria after 24 June 2020 is not permitted to purchase tickets to or attend race meetings under current NSW Government advice regarding COVID-19 until they have completed a period of self-isolation for 14 days.

I've visited a COVID-19 Hot Spot recently, can I attend a raceday?

If you’ve visited a COVID-19 hot spot, please follow government advice.


Anyone who has visited a location deemed as a COVID-19 Hot Spot by the NSW Government, may not be permitted entry to a raceday.

What can I expect? What COVID-Safe measures will be in place on the day?

Of course, our racedays are a little different at the moment. Our venues are open to a limited capacity to satisfying the 1 person per 4sqm law.


Strict social distancing restrictions will be in place, we ask that you please observe 1.5m social distancing at all times.


Patrons will have their temperature checked on arrival using thermal imaging technology.


To adhere to the Track & Trace Policy, all guests attending the racecourse must register their name and contact details with the Club.


We ask that you stay seated at all times. You can move with purpose to make food and beverage purchases, for wagering or restroom requirements or to visiting equine areas. If your area permits race viewing, you may stand or use outdoor seating areas to watch the race; we ask that you return to your seat immediately after.


All drinks must be consumed sitting down, and if you are standing to watch the races, we ask you to do so without a drink in hand.

Hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed at key guest and employee entrances and contact areas such as food and beverage outlets, function spaces and facilities (i.e. restrooms).


Signage will be displayed throughout the venue to inform and enforce health, good hygiene and physical distancing practices.

We ask that you respect staff and any COVID-Safe guidelines in place on the day.


To reduce hand-to-hand contact, our racecourses will be operating cashless food and beverage retail outlets and restaurants.

Will I be temperature tested?

Yes, all patrons will have their temperature checked upon arrival using either hand held thermometers or thermal imaging camera technology. Find out more about the technology here.

What if I register a high temperature?

Any patrons exhibiting signs of fever will be quarantined and reviewed by a medical professional for further assessment prior to entry.

Am I able to move to other parts of the racecourse?

As per COVID Restrictions, we ask that you stay seated at all times. You can move with purpose to make food and beverage purchases, for wagering or restroom requirements or to visiting equine areas.


If your area permits race viewing, you may stand or use outdoor seating areas to watch the race; we ask that you return to your seat immediately after.

Are the racecourses cashless venues?

Our racecourses operate cashless retail outlets and restaurants for food and beverage purchases. Wagering operators will accept cash, with ATM facilities available for those wishing to withdraw cash for wagering purposes.

Can I place a bet?

TAB Operators, Electronic Betting Terminals (EBTs) and bookmakers will be available on the day. Wagering facilities will accept cash with ATM facilities available on-course.


Alternatively, you may place a bet using the TAB App on your phone.

Can I buy food and drinks?

Some of our hospitality packages are all inclusive of food and drink with all-day beverage package.


If your booking includes a drink on arrival and you wish to purchase further beverages, you may do so on the day.


For those in the seating-only areas, food and beverage will be available for purchase from retail service outlets. These will be operating cashless.
