URM Joins Australian Turf Club As Official Waste Services Partner
29 April, 2026
The Australian Turf Club is proud to announce a new multi-year partnership with URM (United Resource Management), one of Australia’s leading providers of integrated waste and recycling services.
With over four decades of experience, URM is recognised for delivering large-scale, reliable and innovative waste management solutions for some of Australia’s biggest events and venues.
The agreement will see URM support the delivery of waste services for Sydney racing’s flagship events, as well as the Australian Turf Club’s daily operations across its five venues – Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Warwick Farm, Canterbury Park and Rosehill Bowling Club.
As part of the partnership, URM will feature prominently on course throughout the year, including race naming rights on key racedays at Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens.
The collaboration brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and responsible waste practices that deliver positive environmental and sustainability outcomes.
Australian Turf Club CEO Steve McMahon said the partnership will further enhance the Club’s capability to deliver world-class service and facilities on racedays and for the Meeting and Events industry.
“We are proud to welcome URM to the Australian Turf Club partner family,” Mr McMahon said.
“This partnership combines URM’s proven expertise in waste management with our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability across both racedays and our year-round operations.”
URM CEO David Johnston said:
“We’re excited to join forces with the Australian Turf Club – a respected institution with iconic venues and events. URM has a long history of supporting community sport and major events, and we look forward to delivering efficient, innovative and sustainable waste services across ATC venues.”
URM Managing Director Anthony Johnston said:
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Australian Turf Club, an organisation with such a proud history in Sydney. This is a chance to bring our people, our expertise and our passion for delivering exceptional service to some of the country’s most prestigious events, while also working together on smarter, more responsible waste solutions.”
