The Australian Turf Club (ATC) will champion a renewed focus on fashion and lifestyle activities throughout the Everest Carnival this spring and beyond, presenting the inaugural Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch to be held at Royal Randwick on Thursday, 10 October, 2019.
Festivities will comprise of flowing premium Champagne and canapes on-arrival in the Moët & Chandon Garden, a sumptuous seated luncheon with premium beverages, a spring fashion runway presented by Harrolds, featuring a special curated live musical performance and an inspiring ‘Women in Power’ panel celebrating female trailblazers.
Channel Seven presenters, Emma Vosti and James Tobin, will bring the star power to host the inaugural Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch, leading formalities for the 300+ style-savvy attendees.
Guests will spend the afternoon being inspired by a ‘Women in Power’ panel, whereby three high-profile guests will share their journey to success and reveal the challenges and highlights they have experienced along the way.
Headlined by racing royalty, Michelle Payne will discuss her historic Melbourne Cup victory and recently released film Ride Like A Girl; while being joined by Monika Tu, Founder and Director of luxury property agency, Black Diamondz Group; and Australian media trailblazer Cherie Romaro.
Australian Turf Club’s official stylist, Jessica Pecoraro will also take to the stage to discuss the latest spring racewear trends ahead of the Harrolds fashion runway.
Australian pop-sensation, Ricki-Lee Coulter, will have guests out of their seats performing a specially curated medley of hits set against the fashion runway, backed by the live sounds of a quartet of strings.
Official fundraising partner of the Fashion Lunch is the McGrath Foundation, aptly timed within October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, where MCs James Tobin and Emma Vosti will raffle a stunning $25,000 jewellery piece donated by Nic Cerrone featuring a 1.02ct radiant cut diamond, a marquise cut diamond, and natural pink Australian ‘Argyle’ diamond.
All guests in attendance will receive a custom-made Antler fashion gift bag with Everest Carnival goodies.
Corina Black, ATC Executive General Manager of Commercial said that the inaugural Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch is a time for Sydney-siders and interstate guests to come together to celebrate racing fashion, food and friendships.
“The Fashion Lunch will be the jewel of the Everest Carnival social calendar and complement the ATC’s desire to elevate Sydney’s racing fashion scene with a strong line up of entertainment, hospitality and fun for guests.
“It’s also important to celebrate the work of the McGrath Foundation and hear the stories of inspiring women of all generations and backgrounds, making the event a truly enjoyable experience,” said Black.
