The Australian Turf Club is leading on-course wagering initiatives in Australia’s strongest betting rings as it welcomes punters back for the 2021 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival with a series of promotions.

ATC racecourses provide more than 200 individual wagering outlets including more than 150 TAB outlets on major Carnival days.

Bookmakers in the main betting ring and across all levels of the Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens grandstands and function spaces are backed up by face to face and digital wagering opportunities.

The main on-course Sydney betting ring at the ATC’s four racecourses allows a single punter to win up to $50,000 on a single runner in each race.

Australian Turf Club Executive General Manager Racing and Wagering James Ross said: “ATC with its wagering partners TAB and on-course bookmakers are keen to welcome back wagering customers on course for what now should be a great seven weeks of racing and beyond.

“The Club takes great pleasure in seeing wagering customers return to the track as COVID-19 restrictions further ease and we see world-class Group 1 racing throughout the Autumn.

“This range of exciting initiatives will appeal to both introductory and experienced racegoers and create added enjoyment in watching the action unfold on the track.’’

As COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease and more punters return to the track, several initiatives by the ATC will be rolled out including:

ATC Punters Club Challenge – Saturday, 6 March, Royal Randwick
The eighth edition of the ATC Punters Club Challenge supported by TAB, with up to 40 teams competing to take home a piece of $16,000 prizemoney in a tipping competition.

ATC Punters Podium – Longines Golden Slipper Day 20 March & Day 2 Championships Royal Randwick
ATC in conjunction with major wagering partner TAB activate the Punters Podium for oncourse patrons across both race days. Punters can access the form analysis and betting skills of TAB and SKY Racing talent who take control of placing bets throughout the day, with winnings shared amongst subscribers.

Punters Club Promotion – win a day at All Aged Stakes Day at Royal Randwick 17 April
This initiative is aimed at rewarding social punters clubs across NSW who can submit their most engaging story from bets placed by their group. Those judged by ATC as the top three from each qualifying region (north, south and west) then participate in a virtual tipping challenge across The Star Championships Day 1. The winners from each region will receive transport to the races, dedicated seating for the team and a hospitality package.

On-course Wagering
The key Wagering and Foundation Partner of the ATC, TAB, is always looking to provide a great punting experience to all comers, whether betting in cash or via an account. To best enable this it has been rolling out the latest in beacon activated Pulse technology at major ATC venues. Be sure to check in when on course to see available offers each day.

Betting Facilities and Concierges
ATC has introduced revised COVID safe operations for wagering services and dedicated wagering concierges at each venue. Knowledgeable staff will be on hand across all Saturday race days to readily assist all patrons on any questions regarding the placement and collection of bets, activations on course and other wagering related queries.
