The Australian Turf Club (ATC) is proud to reveal Australian TV personality, Sonia Kruger, as the 2021 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival Ambassador which will see the star attend a number of world-class events and Group 1 racedays at Rosehill Gardens and Royal Randwick across March and April.

A passionate racegoer, Sonia Kruger is one of the nation’s most recognised and loved faces on Australian television. As an accomplished presenter, actress, dancer, interviewer and entertainer, her credentials hold her in good stead for the coveted role of Carnival Ambassador this season.

Recently Sonia has been busy presenting several Channel 7 prime-time shows, including Big Brother and the new mini golf family show ‘Holey Moley’, as well as global smash hit “The Voice”.
She is also known for her supporting role in Baz Luhrmann’s Australian cult classic, ‘Strictly Ballroom’ as Tina Sparkle.

Named as one of the top 100 influential people in the Daily Telegraph’s Power 100 list, Sonia is always looking the part, nailing her fashion ensembles with confidence and sophistication, Sonia in every way embodies the flair and elegance that is the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.

Sonia will attend several feature events and racedays across the six-week Carnival, including Longines Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill Gardens, Saturday 20 March, and The Championships Day 2 – Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes Day, Saturday 10 April.

The Channel 7 star will also join an illustrious fashion judging panel for the Longines Prize for Elegance competition on Longines Golden Slipper Day and The Championships Day 2 – Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes Day, to help find the most elegantly dressed female and male racegoer which will win an iconic Longines watch.

“It’s thrilling to be appointed the 2021 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival Ambassador. I’ve always enjoyed attending big race days for the stunning trackside fashions, hospitality and the excitement of having a flutter.”

As a keen racegoer, dressing for a day at the races comes naturally to Sonia.

“Autumn racing in Sydney is the perfect time to play around with warmer fabrics and tones. Consider incorporating a statement sleeve or classic pantsuit and headwear with touch points of felt, leather or velvet. Most importantly, dress to your personality and have fun with it,” she said.
