Chandon Ladies Day launches the opening to the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
Here are some highlights to look forward to on Chandon Ladies Day at Rosehill Gardens on 11 March.
- Sydney Confidential Fashion Stakes
Make sure you wear a splash pink on Sydney’s pink raceday and enter the Sydney Confidential Fashion Stakes. For fashion inspiration check out our 2023 Sydney Autumn Style Guide. It is set to be a colourful affair, filled with high fashion, champagne and Sydney’s best racing.
- Pamper Lounge
Head over to the pamper lounge to ensure you look your best all day long! With hair and make up artists on hand for quick touch ups and fashion illustrators ready to sketch your raceday look!
3. Coolmore Classic 4.40pm
It’s the first Group 1 race of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival as the fillies and mares contest the race over 1500 metres. Local trainer Chris Waller has two runners lining up in the race including Hinged and Espiona. International runner trained by William Haggas, Purplepay, will be ridden by Regan Bayliss. - Last chance for two-year-olds
The Group 3 Darley Pago Pago Stakes (Colts & Geldings) and Group 3 Tresemme Magic Night Stakes (Fillies) are key lead-up races to next week’s $5 million Longines Golden Slipper at Rosehill Gardens.
Kiamichi won the Magic Night Stakes in 2018 before going on to claim the world’s richest two-year-old race one week later. Will we see a runner this week put their hand up?
