The Group 2 $250,000 Inglis Villiers Stakes headlines a cracking pre-Christmas day of blacktype racing and free family entertainment at Royal Randwick this Saturday, 16 December.

The James Cummings trained Godolphin runner Interlocuter, to be ridden by Tye Angland, is the $3.20 TAB Fixed Odds favourite in the Inglis Villiers, ahead of Chris Waller’s runner Mister Sea Wolf (Kerrin McEvoy) at $5.50 TAB Fixed Odds.

The winner of the Inglis Villiers gains automatic entry into the Group One $3 million The Star Doncaster during Sydney’s prestigious Autumn Carnival.

Another of Sydney’s iconic races the Longines Golden Slipper will also be in the minds of connections in Saturday’s $500,000 Inglis Nursery.

In the past four years two winners of the Inglis Nursery – She Will Reign and Mossfun – have gone on to Longines Golden Slipper glory – the world’s richest race for two year olds at Rosehill Gardens.

Miss Invincible trained by Bjorn Baker and ridden by Jason Collett is the early $3.70 TAB Fixed Odds favourite in Saturday’s Inglis Nursery, ahead of John O’Shea’s China Horse Club representative Irish Bet ($5.50 TAB Fixed Odds) ridden by Brenton Avdulla.

Saturday also features the $125,000 Listed Christmas Cup over 2400m and a wide open betting race in the $125,000 Listed Razor Sharp handicap over 1200m.

All TAB Fixed Odds for all races on the strong nine-race card are available at www.tab.com.au

Royal Randwick this Saturday hosts its first raceday since Melbourne Cup Day and the course proper has undergone a minor renovation over the past six weeks.

Royal Randwick racecourse manager Nevesh Ramdhani talks about the renovation, track condition and forecast for Saturday here https://youtu.be/3sXXh7-u1L4 ahead of a busy program of racing over coming weeks at the track.

Patrons at Royal Randwick will be part of the Christmas spirit, with Santa on course available for free photos, along with free children’s entertainment in pony rides and face painting on the Octagonal Lawn.

The popular Punters Pack continues at $39, including entry, two standards drinks, a Vili’s Pie and Nathan’s Hot Dog, racebook and access to TAB and bookmaker facilities all included.

All ticketing and hospitality options for this Saturday and coming weeks during the Christmas and New Year period are available at www.theatc.com.au
