The Australian Turf Club’s Rosehill Gardens – which hosts this Saturday’s inaugural running of the $7.5 million Iron Jack Golden Eagle – won a national silver award for Best Function/Convention Centre Caterer at the prestigious 2019 Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence last night.

Rosehill Gardens’ outstanding food, hospitality and service was again recognised at the 2019 Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence in Brisbane.

It came after the Australian Turf Club’s western Sydney venue won the overall Best Caterer of The Year Award at the NSW Restaurant and Catering Awards in September.

The awards recognise industry excellence amongst restaurants, convention centres, events and venues across Australia.

Rosehill Gardens, home of the Longines Golden Slipper Carnival, hosts a number of major events throughout the year including the Premier’s Harmony Dinner, a gala function for 1,500 guests and Australia’s biggest-attended charity raceday function for the ASX Thomson Reuters Charity Foundation.

The Australian Turf Club hosts almost 400 raceday and non-raceday events annually at its five venues Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park, Warwick Farm and Rosehill Bowling Club.

These events are attended by more than 853,000 people and are serviced by almost 3,000 staff.

Australian Turf Club Executive General Manager Commercial Corina Black said Rosehill Gardens had again been recognised as one of Australia’s best venues.

“We are proud of the entire Rosehill Gardens team who have shone on the national stage,’’ Ms Black said.

“Our staff deserve all of the accolades for these awards which are contested by hundreds of venues and restaurants across Australia.

“The Australian Turf Club is not only one of the best thoroughbred racing clubs in the world but also one the country’s outstanding leaders in food and hospitality, and we are thrilled to host another world-class event, Golden Eagle Day, at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.’’

Final hospitality packages for Golden Eagle Day include The Gold Party. Package includes gourmet canapes, Moët & Chandon Champagne and access to the Hot Dub Time Machine after-show for $250 per person. Visit theRaces.com.au for more information.
