The Group 2 $250,000 Inglis Silver Slipper Stakes and Group 2 $400,000 Arrowfield Hobartville Stakes headline a high-quality card of Group and blacktype racing at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday.

These feature races are supported by the Group 2 $200,000 TAB Mille Fox Stakes and the Listed $140,000 Parramatta Cup on a nine-race card.

The Inglis Silver Slipper Stakes is a crucial pathway race to the iconic Longines Golden Slipper on 21 March and features the ruling favourite in Cellsabeel for jockey Tommy Berry and top trainers of juveniles Ciaron Maher and David Eustace.

Cellsabeel is a $1.55 TAB favourite this Saturday as she attempts to lock in her place in the $3.5 million Longines Golden Slipper.

With Saturday’s Inglis Silver Slipper winner exempt from ballot for the world’s richest race for two-year-olds, three horses each at $8 TAB are on the second line of betting: Global Quest (Chris Waller/James McDonald), Blaze A Trail (Peter and Paul Snowden/Kerrin McEvoy) and first starter North Pacific (Hawkes Racing/Brenton Avdulla).

Saturday’s two-year-old races at Rosehill Gardens and in Melbourne will further shape the TAB market for the Longines Golden Slipper.

Some of Australia’s best three-year-olds contest Saturday’s Group 2 $400,000 Arrowfield Hobartville Stakes.

Microphone for the powerful Godolphin team to be ridden by in-form jockey Hugh Bowman is the early $3 TAB favourite, ahead of Castelvecchio ($4.60 TAB) for Warwick Farm trainer Richard Litt and jockey Kerrin McEvoy.

Castelvecchio resumes after running second to one of the world’s highest rated horses Lys Graceieux in the Cox Plate.

Trainer Chris Waller’s classy Kubrick ($6.50 TAB) ridden by Brenton Avdulla and Shadow Hero ($7.50 TAB) for Mark Newnham and Josh Parr are next in betting.

The Group 2 $200,000 TAB Millie Fox Stakes market is headed by Godolphin mare Savatiano ($2 TAB) for jockey James McDonald, ahead of the Jason Coyle trained and Kathy O’Hara ridden White Moss ($3.60 TAB).

White Moss is looking to win back to back Mille Fox Stakes after last year defeating Savatiano into third place.

Jockey Tommy Berry and the Maher/Eustace stable team up with the favourite Etana ($4 TAB) in the Listed Parramatta Cup in a wide-open betting race.

Red Cardinal ($11 TAB) for trainer Kris Lees and jockey Jason Collett is another looking to win back to back features as the defending Parramatta Cup 2019 winner.

The Rosehill Gardens track was rated a Heavy 9 on Thursday morning.

Almost 500mm of rain has fallen at Rosehill Gardens since the start of February, including another 68mm this week.
