24 July, 2024

The Australian Turf Club has hosted a record number of owners at its four racecourses across the 2023/24 season ahead of the final two metropolitan meetings and an annual awards day this Saturday.

More than 52,100 owners have watched their horses on course in Sydney throughout the racing year – beating the previous mark by 28 per cent.

ATC will announce a series of special awards at Royal Randwick this Saturday on Industry Celebration Day to recognise owners, horses and participant achievements at ATC meetings across 2023/24.

A range of ATC partners are supporting and presenting the awards; Arrowfield, Catanach’s Jeweller’s, Coolmore, Darley, Hyland Sportswear, Inglis, Kia, Kia Ora, Racing & Sports, Ranvet, TAB and Vinery Stud.

Amongst the ATC awards presented in Royal Randwick’s Owners Pavilion on Saturday morning ahead of the day’s 10-race card are:

Australian Turf Club Head of Racing and Wagering Nevesh Ramdhani thanked all owners, racing participants and ATC supporters for the 2023/24 season.

“The strength of Sydney racing and record prizemoney continues to attract record numbers of owners at our meetings across the year,’’ Mr Ramdhani said.

“Owners are a crucial stakeholder to the growth of our racing, and the raceday experience and its continual improvement is a focus for the ATC.

“We look forward to welcoming new and more owners as we head towards a new racing season and the upcoming Spring Carnival.’’

Royal Randwick’s 10-race card will start at 11:20am and conclude with the final race to jump at 4:45pm.
