Canterbury International Horse Centre

Located approximately 11kms west of Sydney CBD Canterbury International Horse Centre is the home away from home for internationals competing in Sydney.

Jointly operated by Racing New South Wales and the Australian Turf Club, the centre is the only approved Post-Arrival Quarantine (PAQ) facility in Sydney where horses can remain in full training during quarantine.

The centre, which is monitored by 24-hour security implements bio-security measures in line with Australian government requirements.

The centre has can house 16 horses in first-class facilities. The compound facilities include:

  • Large rubber padded boxes
  • Generous grazing areas
  • Electronic scales
  • Polytrack walking rings
  • Sand rolls
  • Multiple wash bays
