Celebrate Racing At Home
How to watch the races
Don’t miss a minute of the racing action broadcast live and free on Channel 7 from 12.00pm AEST.
You can also view the live action on Sky Racing 1 through Foxtel – simply switch to Channel 526, or you can tune in via the TAB App.
What to wear
Enjoying a raceday at home is the perfect excuse to get out of your lounge-wear and get your glam on, while you dress up to celebrate the occasion.
Whether it’s flamboyant millinery, your finest suit or elegant dress, don’t be afraid to dress up and stay in for a day in front of the races.
And of course, don’t forget to share your raceday look with us on social media with #FunOffTrack.
What to Eat
Put together a charcuterie board with what you already have, we suggest mixing your favourite cheeses and cured meats then add snacks like fruit, nuts, vegetables, crackers and dips.
Or, let the experts do it for you. Catalina Rose Bay are offering raceday hampers with freshly shucked oysters and other favourites, paired with a selection of beverages, delivered to your door, while Bistro Moncur invite you to select your favourite dishes from their delectable à la carte raceday take-away menu.
What to drink
When it comes to beer, Heineken is the official beer of Royal Randwick, so Heineken should be your first choice. Try the low calorie and low carb option, Heineken 3, or an alcohol-free beer, Heineken 0.0.
For Champagne celebrations, enjoy a bottle of Moët & Chandon, and don’t forget to show off your #MoëtMoment.
Enjoy the Schweppes Signature Series, perfect on their own or mixed into your favourite cocktail if you’re feeling creative.
What to do between races
Run a virtual sweepstake with your friends; you can split the prizemoney for first, second, third and last, or the winner can take it all.
Alternatively, jump on Zoom and hold your very own horse auction, where each horse in the race is auctioned off. The favourite will go for a higher price than the longshot. Use the auction money as a pool, where the winner takes all.
Be sure to post your photos of you celebrating the races from home to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter tagging @atc_races with #FunOffTrack.
So let’s all stay safe, stay social and stay tuned to the world’s best racing action live on TV – together at home!
A day of racing wouldn’t be complete with a flutter. TAB have an easy to navigate app with live coverage of the racing action that you can download, and if you’re a beginner or just want some handy tips, we’ve got you covered.
