TAB Golden Slipper Day delivered Australia’s biggest program of Group 1 racing, bringing speed, style and world class sporting excellence to Rosehill Gardens as part of the 2026 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
Looking Back at 2026
The 70th running of the Golden Slipper was one for the history books. Guest House claimed the prestigious title, delivering Victoria its first Slipper victory in 15 years. Champion jockey James McDonald etched his name into racing history by breaking Australia’s all‑time Group 1 record, while unbeaten mare Autumn Glow continued her remarkable streak with another commanding performance in The Agency George Ryder Stakes.
Racegoers revelled in the energy trackside with pop‑up bars, live entertainment and vibrant social spaces. Premium Dining experiences elevated the day for guests seeking something special, while Fashion Stakes, curated food and drinks at The Chandon Social and DJs at The Hard Rated Home Straight brought colour and celebration to every corner of the course.
The Living End closed the day with an electrifying After The Last performance, creating a memorable finale to an unforgettable raceday.

70 Years of the Golden Slipper
Racegoers celebrated the milestone 70th running of the Golden Slipper with dedicated on‑course heritage displays and moments honouring the champions, stories and legacy of Australia’s most iconic two‑year‑old race.
Cheer On J-Mac As History Beckons
James McDonald made headlines on TAB Golden Slipper Day by surpassing Damien Oliver’s all‑time Group 1 wins record.
While it was his ride on Autumn Boy in the Sky Racing Rosehill Guineas which pushed him past the record, wins on unbeaten star Autumn Glow in The Agency George Ryder Stakes and Aeliana in the Ranvet Stakes also contributed as crowds at Rosehill Gardens united to celebrate a defining moment in Australian racing.
A Special Slipper Toast For Our Members
To mark the 70th edition of the Golden Slipper, Members enjoyed a special 70 cent celebratory offer after the feature race, raising a glass to seven decades of remarkable racing moments.

Racegoers embraced the A Touch of Gold theme, showcasing elevated Autumn fashion with subtle gold accents and polished finishing touches throughout the course.

The popular After The Last concert series brought the energy sky‑high as The Living End delivered an electrifying live performance at The Chandon Social, closing out the day with some of their most iconic hits.
The Hard Rated Home Straight
The Hard Rated Home Straight transformed the trackside lawn into a high‑energy hub with DJs, bars and premium viewing along the home straight, creating a lively atmosphere from first race to last.
Member Welcome
ATC Members were welcomed on arrival with a gold rose lapel, a refined nod to TAB Golden Slipper tradition and a stylish keepsake for the day.
The Chandon Social
The Chandon Social remained a focal point of the celebration, offering flowing bubbles, curated food and live entertainment in a stylish social setting.

Punters enjoyed a dedicated trackside space tailored to high‑stakes racing, with winning groups staying on to enjoy continued hospitality after their horse crossed the line first.

Fashion Stakes celebrated standout Autumn style across categories including Best Dressed and Best Suited, with live on‑course heats and finalists selected as part of the Autumn Carnival.

The Members Deck Club delivered a vibrant raceday experience for younger and social Members, offering curated food and drinks, uninterrupted home straight views and live DJs.

Members enjoyed a dedicated space on the ground floor of the J.R. Fleming Stand, complete with an upgraded bar offering, stylish surrounds and a welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.
