Nine Unmissable Highlights On Hill Stakes Day

Day 4 of the Sydney Everest Carnival rolls into Rosehill Gardens for Hill Stakes Day.
Feature event on the day is the $2million Petaluma Hill Stakes, featuring a full field of 14 plus two emergencies.
While the $1.5million Alan Brown Stakes and $500,000 Tapp-Craig, $300,000 Roman Consul and $250,000 Nivision will all be highly competitive affairs on a great day’s racing out in Sydney’s west.
Here are nine unmissable highlights for you to catch trackside at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday:
- Can He Remain Unbeaten? – 3pm
Talented colt Ozzmosis puts his unbeaten record on the line in the $300,000 TAB Roman Consul Stakes. The Bjorn Baker-trained galloper has won all three career starts so far and goes up against a talented line-up including King’s Gambit and Barber just to name a few.
- Hot Favourite In The Toyota Forklifts Tapp-Craig 3:35pm
Encap will be looking to go one better than his previous start when he lines up in the Toyota Forklifts Tapp-Craig. He is a hot $2.10 favourite with TAB.
Gary Portelli’s talented three-year-old finished second last start to Militarize at this track a fortnight ago. That was race the $1million Kia Golden Rose.
- Wide Open In Feature – 4:10pm
The $2million Petaluma Hill Stakes is very open with TAB betting marking it $3.80 the field. Chris Waller’s talented mare Montefilia heads the market, however, the red-hot Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott yard have the second pick in Hoo Ya Mal ($4.40 TAB). The only other runners in single figures are Protagonist ($7 TAB) for trainer Kris Lees and Zeyrek ($8.50 TAB) for Team Hawkes.

Enjoy a beverage at one of the many bars available throughout the afternoon. There’s the Canadian Club Cart, NED Australian Whisky Bar and various other outlets located in both Members and General Public areas.
The first race on Hill Stakes Day will get underway at 12:40pm while the gates crash back in the last at 6:05pm.
