In its second year of running The Australian Turf Club (ATC) will host the popular Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch in a COVIDSafe environment on TAB Epsom Day – Saturday, 3 October at Royal Randwick, featuring iconic Australian recording artist Natalie Bassingthwaighte as the headline entertainment, who will also return on Saturday, 17 October to sing the National Anthem on Everest Day.
Carefully adjusted to meet strict NSW Government Public Health Orders, the Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch event will require each guest to be temperature checked on arrival and scan the QR code on their smart phone device before being seated.
Australia’s musical sweetheart who began her career in theatre before making waves on Neighbours and as lead singer of electro-pop band Rogue Traders before pursuing a successful solo career, will take to the stage to dazzle guests in the Royal Randwick Ballroom with a performance of her favourite hits.
“It’s an honour to partner with the ATC and play a small part in bringing some entertainment and happiness back to our community who have been through so much these past few months.
“I cannot wait perform to a live audience; I’ve really missed it and very much looking forward to the Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch and Everest raceday itself.”

To compliment a Gordon’s Pink Gin Cocktail on arrival, a three-course spring inspired lunch will be curated by Executive Chef at BLACK Bar & Grill Dany Karam, who has paired the menu with De Bortoli Wines. Chandon NV Rose will be flowing throughout the day with an option for guests to upgrade to Moët & Chandon.
Corina Black, ATC Executive General Manager-Commercial said that while this year’s Everest Carnival and events look a little different due to COVID-19, it’s wonderful to still be able to get together with colleagues, family and friends to celebrate fashion, hospitality and entertainment.
“The ATC continue to work closely with NSW Government officials and as such look forward to hosting the Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch to give Sydneysiders an opportunity to come together while adhering to strict social distancing rules, and enjoy a fashionable outing in a COVIDSafe environment at Royal Randwick,” said Ms Black.
“Natalie Bassingthwaighte is an incredible talent and we’re honoured to have her perform at the Everest Fashion Lunch on TAB Epsom Day and on Everest Day as we continue to support local businesses, talent and community.”
