As a unique take on kid’s club, The Australian Turf Club amps up the junior social scene with a jam-packed, year long line up of activities and events for children aged 12 and under.
The Giddy Up Pass connects the kids to the racing calendar with invitations to a series of events that will inspire creativity and capture their imagination. It’s ice-cream and action across the lawns and children’s zones as young racegoers add their unmistakeable energy to the trackside action.
The Giddy Up Pass includes:
- Three issues of ‘Giddy Up’ – the official newsletter for ‘Giddy Up’ pass holders
- Invitations to ‘Giddy Up’ race days featuring kid’s activities and entertainment
- Parents enter racecourse free on ‘Giddy Up’ race days
The Giddy-Up Pass is FREE for our Future Champions Aged 12 & Under
Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted entry to the racecourse unless accompanied by a responsible adult, and must remain within the immediate vicinity of the adult at all times. The adult is responsible for the care, conduct and supervision of the young person, and for any acts or omissions of that young person. Liquor Act 2007 For the purpose of the definition of responsible adult, a person who is of or above the age of 18 years and who;
Liquor Act 2007:
(a) a parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor,
(b) the minor’s spouse or any person who, although not legally married to the minor, ordinarily lives with the minor as the minor’s spouse on a permanent and domestic basis,
(c) a person who is, for the time being, in loco parentis* to the minor.
*The term “in loco parentis” describes a relationship similar to that of a parent to a child; specifically it refers to an individual who assumes parental status and responsibilities for another individual, usually a young person, without formally adopting that person. For example, legal guardians stand in loco parentis with respect to their wards.
