Meet the Team
Jimmy Busteed – General Manager of Hospitality & Sales
Over 20 years of experience in the events and hospitality. Jimmy has led the sales team at the Australian Turf Club for five years. He has also been at National Maritime Museum, Sydney Showgrounds and Royal Agricultural Society of NSW where he developed a passion for delivering exceptional experiences to fully meet the needs of his clients.
He was instrumental in delivering superior customer service in hospitality at Royal Randwick biggest modern day crowd (Winx’s final raceday in 2019) and helped deliver the biggest event in Sydney, the Royal Easter Show for 5 year running.
Jimmy has a strong focus on building relationships with new and existing clients alike.
Luke Janovsky – Senior Business Development Manager
Rejoined the Australian Turf Club in 2017, after starting with the company in 2010. With 10 years’ experience in commercial departments in multiple sporting organisations, Luke as a strong focus on building relationships within the Insurance, Wagering, Construction, Manufacturing and Trades & Services industry sectors and bringing their events needs to life.
He is also passionate about inviting clients inside our venues prior to booking an event in order for them to experience the unique style and atmosphere of our four venues.
Tarnequa Smart – Business Development Manager
Tarnequa has worked at the Australian Turf Club since March 2019. With over the 8 years experience in the hospitality and events industry, she has managed gameday hospitality and business relationships with sponsors for a sports clubs and the superyacht industry.
She is passionate about developing relationships with clients and manages clients across Sports, Charities, Education, Culture, Film Shoots, Weddings and Social Events.
James Nugent – Business Development Manager
James joined the Australian Turf Club in September 2019. He specialises in exhibitions and delivering event solutions for clients in the mining, accounting, travel & tourism and agriculture sectors.
He was previously an international tour manager for a decade and has worked in 34 countries across four continents. James returned home in 2014 and worked in hospitality management before entering the events industry as an account manager at Australia’s largest event supply company.
James is passionate about creating sublime event experiences for clients.
Louise White – Business Development Manager
Louise joined the Australian Turf Club in Spring 2019 following a stellar career in the events industry. She is an award-winning conference & event sales specialist in multiple Australian and International roles. She is passionate about taking clients on an exceptional customer journey and always going over-and-above to deliver exceptional experiences.
She specialises in Automotive, Pharmaceutical & Health, Event Management Companies, Hotel groups and on-sellers for raceday hospitality.
Anthony Berberian – Business Development Manager
Anthony joined the Australian Turf Club in August 2018 and specialises in working with clients across Construction, Realty, Legal, Logistical and Security sectors.
He graduated from the Australian College of Physical Education with a Bachelor of Sports Business degree in 2012 and has experience in the commercial and consumer departments at NRL’s Penrith Panthers and AFL’s Sydney Swans.
Lana Webster – Business Development Manager
Lana joined the Australian Turf Club in July 2019. She has worked in the events and hospitality industry for eight years at major hotels and production companies.
She specialises in event management for clients within the Professional Event Mangers (PCO) market, Retail and IT/Technology sectors.
Lana creates a personal connection to make the booking process seamless.
Julie Harris – Race Day Sales Supervisor
Julie has over 35 years experience at the Australian Turf Club and handles our key racing stakeholders & corporate clients in Annual Leased Suites, and Chairman’s Club annual members at Royal Randwick. She also manages the delivery of hospitality products across all four racecourses and manages all restaurant floorplans for Royal Randwick.
Julie is passionate about exceeding clients expectations during their raceday experience.
Erin Kelly – Sales Coordinator
Erin joined the Australian Turf Club in December 2019 having 2 x Diplomas in Event and Hospitality Management, she has worked within the hospitality industry for 10 years and the events field for 5.
Erin started her career with Accor Hotels operationally and then transitioned into Sales and Events in 2015.
She manages all general hospitality enquiries for all four ATC venues whilst building floorplans for all race day hospitality dining at Rosehill.
Erin works closely with our leased suite holders and looks after all private hospitality functions and restaurant bookings making every clients race day memorable.
Stephanie Timpano – Sales Coordinator
Stephanie joined the Australian Turf Club in February 2020. She has worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years and the media industry for 2 years.
She graduated from UOW with a double degree in Communication & Media and Employment relations.
Stephanie looks after general hospitality enquiries across all four venues.
