The Australian Turf Club has announced legendary rocker Jon Stevens as the headline act on Longines Golden Slipper Day, Saturday 21 March 2020, at Rosehill Gardens.
Most recognised as the powerful lead singer of legendary Aussie band Noiseworks, Jon will perform the band’s biggest hits such as ‘Take Me Back’, ‘Touch’ and ‘Hot Chilli Woman’, also reliving his five years fronting the iconic, INXS performing the global chart toppers ‘New Sensation’.’Never Tear Us Apart’ and ‘Need You Tonight’.
This will be a rock extravaganza for Rosehill Gardens after the last race.
Off the back of a 120-gig year with sell out national concert tours of ‘Red Hot Summer’ and ‘One Electric Day’, Stevens continues his Noiseworks & INXS Collection Tour which he is looking forward to showcasing on Longines Golden Slipper Day in burgeoning Western Sydney.
“Can’t wait to rock Sydney on Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill Gardens, playing all the hits from my days with Noiseworks and INXS. Hope to see you all there for a huge day,” Jon Stevens said.
Next year will see the 64th running of the world’s richest two-year-old turf race, the Group 1 $3.5 million Longines Golden Slipper (1200m) along with the return of the ever-popular Longines Prize For Elegance competition for the fashion forward, and a plethora of exciting hospitality options and activations.
