The Australian Turf Club (ATC) has announced Home And Away co-stars and real-life couple Sarah Roberts and James Stewart as the 2019 Everest Carnival Ambassadors.
Popular on the Channel Seven drama, the thespian duo have appeared on-screen together for nearly two years and tied the knot earlier this year at a family affair in Dublin, Ireland.
The ATC have engaged Sarah and James, known for their keen interest in racing, regularly attending race meetings nationwide, their impeccable style and passion for entertainment, to attend a number of feature racedays and events spanning the seven-week Everest Carnival from September 21 to November 5.
As official ambassadors, the stylish couple will support the Everest Carnival by visiting everywhere from the top tier trackside offerings available at both The Estate – an all-new corporate entertainment and hospitality precinct and Pony Palms – a new playful Palm Springs-inspired paradise featuring Sydney’s first trackside pool for racegoers – as well as judging the Harrolds Fashion Chute, a first-class digital fashion competition, to taking in the Group 1 racing highlighted by the world’s richest turf race, the $14 million The TAB Everest on October 19.
As Everest Carnival Ambassadors, both Sarah and James will attend the following events:
• Everest Carnival Media Launch on Thursday 19 September at Royal Randwick
• The inaugural Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch as VIP guests on Thursday 10 October held at Royal Randwick
• Form part of the judging panel for the Harrolds Fashion Chute, on The Everest Day, Saturday 19 October at Royal Randwick
• Attend the inaugural Golden Eagle Day, featuring the $7.5 million Golden Eagle, Australia’s third richest race as special VIP guests on Saturday 2 November at Rosehill Gardens
Sarah Roberts’ talents don’t stop at acting – the rising star also has a keen interest in music and will treat racegoers by taking over the DJ decks in Pony Palms, a new Palm Springs-inspired poolside precinct where your raceday experience is taken to a whole new level, on Colgate Optic White Stakes Day on Saturday 21 September.
