Friday night’s second meeting at Canterbury Park for the expanded Schweppes Night Racing season will again feature a range of incentives and attractions for owners and spectators, following the success of last month’s opening night.

The Australian Turf Club again offers a $200 food and beverage card per horse for owners, which can be used at any ATC food and beverage outlet on that night.

The eight-race program begins at 6.15pm, with races run every 30 minutes in conjunction with a night thoroughbred meeting in Victoria.

Entry to Canterbury Park is free at all Friday night meetings, and the ATC offers patrons $5 food and beverage items across the racecourse.

The hugely popular Foodies Market returns, with dozens of stalls spread across the lawns in front of the grandstand, along with live entertainment.

Free children’s entertainment including petting zoos and pony rides, face painting and a jumping castle are available.

Australian Turf Club Executive General Manager of Racing James Heddo said the ATC was continuing its increased investment in Friday night racing.

“This Friday is the second of nine meetings this season and we were thrilled with the response to our opening night,’’ Mr Heddo said.

“The investment we are making into our expanded night racing season has received extremely positive feedback and we remain committed to ensuring a fantastic experience for all of our customers.”
