Five Unmissable Highlights on Stakes Day

The Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival continues at Rosehill Gardens for Stakes Day. It is family day with free entry for kids and plenty of free entertainment. It also features world-class racing featuring two Group 1 races.

  1. Family entertainment

There is no shortage of free family entertainment including pony rides, petting zoo and amusement rides. The day will also feature a very special performance from family favourite, Bluey and her little sister Bingo. You can catch them on stage for three Live Interactive Experiences throughout the day at 12:15pm, 1:00pm and 2:15pm.

  1. Vinery Stud Stakes – 4pm

The three-year-old fillies step out in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes. Star New Zealand filly trained by Roger James will be hard to beat and is making her Australian debut.   1. $1.5 million Kia Tancred Stakes – 4.40pm

The staying race over 2400m has assembled a quality field. Melbourne Cup winner, Gold Trip, will be one to watch as well as multiple Group 1 winning mare Montefilia who is racing on her home track. The race also has an international flavour with Cleveland for Joseph O’Brien making his Australian debut to be ridden by Kerrin McEvoy.   1. Indulge in Raceday Fare

The ATC have enhanced food & beverage outlets this Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival. With some great new initiatives, we will also be bringing back some of the old favourites of the past such as Eats at the Gardens which will again showcase Sydney’s finest street food vans throughout Carnival.

  1. Continue the Celebrations at the Rosehill Bowling Club

Make sure to head over to the Rosehill Bowling Club after the last race. The beer garden will be open with a live DJ playing. Fantastic food and all your favourite drinks, it is the best place to unwind after another world class day of racing in Sydney.
