Some of the most memorable stories start with a celebratory cheers, so why not make one of the many stylish pop-up bars part of your day?
This Saturday is your final chance to head to the NED Australian Whisky Bar (trackside) and to enter their competition to WIN a year’s supply of NED Australian Whisky. If you’re a fan of beer, enjoy a clean, crisp and refreshing cold one from Furphy Bar. Wine lover? the Petaluma Bar in the Old Betting Ring will be serving up some of our all time favourites, and of course don’t forget to visit the Canadian Club Cart.

If you believe in the motto bigger is better, visit the larger than life giant Longines Golden Slipper Photo Moment and strike a pose (plus pop into the free beauty pamper station for raceday touch-ups). Bolt the Longines horse statue will also be making an appearance!

It may be the final day of Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival for Sydney’s West, but rest assured Stakes Day maintains the high calibre racing you expect from a major racing carnival. There are two Group 1 feature races of the day (they’re the most prestigious type of race), the $1.5 million Kia Tancred Stakes and the $500,0000 Vinery Stud Stakes. Here’s where to watch the horses on a raceday (we recommend a visit to the evocative day stalls). If you are watching from afar we’re on Channel 7 and Sky Racing. PLUS, ONE FOR THE ROAD
Head to our sister venue, Rosehill Bowling Club for a nightcap. It’s just across James Ruse Drive (use the bridge!). They have $10 espresso martinis – a guaranteed winner, $5 Furphy and great meal deals.
