TASTE THE SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS

Some things you’ll never forget. The racing. The atmosphere. And the most artful selection of food and wine the Southern Highlands has to offer. Sample your way through the delights at the inaugural ‘Taste of the Southern Highlands’ festival at Rosehill Gardens. Click here to view the stalls you can visit (or view a few below!).

of course…. world-class racing

It may be the final day of Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival for Sydney’s West, but rest assured Stakes Day maintains the high calibre racing you expect from a major racing carnival. There are two Group 1 feature races of the day (they’re the most prestigious type of race), the $1.5 million Kia Tancred Stakes and the $500,0000 Vinery Stud Stakes.  Here’s where to watch the horses on a raceday (we recommend a visit to the evocative day stalls). If you are watching from afar we’re on Channel 7 and Sky Racing. Study the form on our downloadable racebook.

PLUS, ONE FOR THE ROAD

Head to our sister venue, Rosehill Bowling Club for a nightcap. It’s just across James Ruse Drive (use the bridge!). They have $10 espresso martinis – a guaranteed winner, $5 Furphy and great meal deals.
