Five Things to Expect on Golden Rose Day
The Sydney Everest Carnival heads to Rosehill Gardens for a fantastic day of racing action. Here are five things to expect on the opening day on Golden Rose Day.

1 Group One Racing
The three-years-old are on show as they run in the $1 million Group 1 James Squire Golden Rose (4.05pm). Godolphin have Traffic Warden, winner of the Run To The Rose, and Broadsiding ridden by the in-form James McDonald. Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott saddle up three runners including Storm Boy, Anode and Mayfair. The prestigious race has had many high-profile winners over the years including Militarize last year, Bivouac (2019) and The Autumn Sun (2018). Click here to see the full fields.

2 AFL Grand Final Live Site
Cheer on the Sydney Swans against the Brisbane Lions in the AFL Grand Final while watching the races and enjoying some fun and games. Located in the south end of the J.R.Fleming Stand there will be big screens showing the AFL along with pool tables and ping pong.

3 Delicious Eats
Check some of the delicious options at Eats in the Garden in the old betting ring. Look out for the Smoke House serving up some of the favourites. Add a James Squire Chef Blend Pale Ale with any main meal for an additional $6. Find out more here.

4 Get Your Photo Taken with the Golden Eagle Trophy
Don’t miss your chance to be snapped with the Golden Eagle trophy. The $10 million Golden Eagle is the feature race for four-year-olds run on 2 November.

5 Expect great Fashion
While celebrating and acknowledging traditional fashion initiatives, the Australian Turf Club aims to embrace both the evolving digital landscape, and the evolution of racewear styling through Fashion Stakes.
Ticketholders are encouraged to find a Fashion Stakes mirror or hashtag and post it to their socials with #FashionStakes for a chance to win a range of prizes on the day and feature on the big screen trackside. Add a touch a canary yellow to your outfit. Find out more here.

And Plenty more…
Look out for the Canadian Club Bar trackside keeping you refreshed throughout the day. Plus, discover the all-electric Kia EV9 on display next to Eats in the Garden.
