Where there’s horse racing there’s fashion and the Australian Turf Club is all about embracing style.

As the ‘Sport Of Kings’, horse racing has always been about the exhilaration of the race, the style and theatre of the venue, beating the odds the bookmakers place on the horses and the inexorable fusion of fashion and putting your best foot forward to make the event a memorable occasion for all.

The Australian Turf Club embraces all that history of racing and the celebration of dressing up for the premier social occasions of the year. From the finest dresses juxtaposed with exquisite millinery to the simple elegance of a well tailored suit, the races is one place fashion sets the tone for the celebrations of the day.

Leave the week behind, embrace all that racing has to offer and think of how you can add to the magical history that racing creates for us all.

Dress Code For Ladies

From the moment Jean Shrimpton put fashion front and centre on the Fashion calendar, attending a day at the races has historically been about putting your best foot forward. From glamming up for an occasion to donning the finest of a designer’s livery, racing celebrates all that is wonderful about dressing up for an occasion.

Below are the basics to be upheld at both Rosehill Gardens and Royal Randwick, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm to keep in mind when planning your outfit.
