EDWINA MCCANN TO BE HONOURED AT EVEREST CARNIVAL FASHION LUNCH

The Australian Turf Club (ATC) is proud to unveil Sydney fashion editor, Edwina McCann, as this year’s Woman of Influence at the sell-out Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch.
Edwina McCann, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Australia, is this year’s Woman of Influence and will take to the stage for a special Q&A session. Edwina’s career in media spans senior editorships with publications such as The Australian and Harper’s Bazaar Australia, where she was Editor-in-Chief. In 2015 Edwina topped B&T’s list of 30 Most Powerful Woman in Australian Media. She joined the UTS Business School Advisory Board in 2014 and in 2017 was announced as a board member for The Australian Ballet and chair of The Australian Ballet Foundation Board.
In 2018 she was also appointed Editorial Director of the Conde Nast brands in Australia, encompassing Vogue, Vogue Living and GQ. Edwina is co-chair to the Australian Fashion Council and is a council member of Australia’s Nation Brand Advisory Council.
The Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch returns this spring on TAB Epsom Raceday, Saturday 3 October 2020. Guests will be treated to a bespoke three-course lunch curated by Dany Karam, award-winning Executive Chef of The Star’s BLACK Bar & Grill.
Iconic recording artist Natalie Bassingthwaighte will take centre-stage for a show-stopping performance. Australia’s musical sweetheart began her career in theatre before making waves on Neighbours and as lead singer of electro-pop band Rogue Traders before pursuing a successful solo career.
As well as a stellar racecard, other highlights include the Everest Carnival Spring Fashion Runway presented by Vogue Australia. Charity prize draws will inspire in a COVID-safe environment within the spectacular Ballroom of Royal Randwick which overlooks the track.
