The Australian Turf Club held its first COVID-Safe conference at Rosehill Gardens as the rolling back of isolation and distancing restrictions begins in New South Wales.
The ATC hosted 50 food service industry professionals including chefs, catering vendors, food and beverage managers, suppliers and policy experts.
A collaborative discussion was held to highlight the impacts COVID-19 restrictions have had on the food services and events industries, and what these businesses need to implement to successfully return post-COVID.
Industry experts included Wes Lambert – Chief Executive Officer of Restaurant & Catering Australia; Sissel Rosengren – Managing Director, Food Industry Foresight; Thomas Green – Manager, Policy and Government Restaurant and Catering; Simon McNamara – Food and Beverage Manager, Wests Group Macarthur; Melissa Parker – Sales and Marketing, Mastercut Meats; Sam Youngs – Group Executive Chef, Momento Hospitality and Adam Moore – Industry advocate and Innovation specialist.
Also present were Australian Turf Club Executive Chefs George Mullen and Gerry Maher, with Gerry’s Rosehill Gardens culinary team providing a sumptuous selection of individually presented canapes throughout the day.
The Australian Turf Club is ready to bring business events back to Sydney. Racing operations have continued at all four racecourses – Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm – throughout COVID restrictions, and as such the Club was the first sports and events business to implement numerous COVID-Safe event solutions.
While other venues are still in planning mode, the Australian Turf Club is ready to support businesses on the journey to get their events underway. Gained experience and knowledge of comprehensive COVID-Safe measures for racing have been transferred and tailored to ensure all events held at ATC venues are safe and successful.
