A Noteworthy Cause in Partnership with SpinalCure Australia and Cerrone
Beyond being a wonderful celebration of Spring, the Sydney Everest Carnival Long Lunch is dedicated to supporting a noble cause. Entering the second year of this partnership, the Australian Turf Club Foundation will support SpinalCure Australia to raise money with a silent auction and raffle, with all proceeds directed to pioneering spinal cord injury research and treatment for over 20,000 Australians living with a spinal cord injury.
“We are thrilled to be the charity partner at the Sydney Everest Carnival Long Lunch, continuing our partnership with the ATC Foundation. This year’s event promises to be a truly fabulous day and we are delighted to have SpinalCure ambassador, Sam Bloom, along with her husband Cameron join us as the guest speakers,” says SpinalCure Australia CEO Kathryn Borkovic. “It is great to see the racing industry come together in support to raise awareness about the life-changing potential of Project Spark.”
Generous support has been received for the fourth consecutive year from legendary Sydney jeweller Nic Cerrone, who has kindly donated an exquisite, one-of-a-kind Cerrone necklace and pendant as the feature raffle prize. The Cerrone necklace features an 18ct white gold London blue topaz and diamond chain and an exquisite 37.04ct emerald cut London blue topaz weighing a total of 34.28 grams with a retail value of $32,000.
The beautiful Cerrone necklace will be placed into the raffle for the event, whilst a Longines Dolce Vita timepiece will be available through the silent auction, which will also include sought-after tickets to see Taylor Swift in Sydney, generously provided by James Squire as well as a wide array of other covetable experiences, collectibles, and prizes.
In partnership with Racing NSW, Cerrone is also the designer of the TAB Everest Trophy – which showcases approximately 550ct of black diamonds, 32ct of white diamonds and two ruby eyes, all weighing in at 14kgs, with an approximate value of over $800,000.
