Canterbury International Horse Centre
Located approximately 11kms west of the Sydney CBD, Canterbury International Horse Centre is the home away from home for internationals competing in Sydney.
Operated by the Australian Turf Club, the centre is the only approved Post-Arrival Quarantine (PAQ) facility in Sydney where horses can remain in full training during quarantine.
The centre is self-contained with 24-hour private security, implementing bio-security measures in line with Australian government requirements.
The Quarantine centre stable complex can accommodate up to 20 horses in custom built, rubber-lined stables developed from one of three existing stable blocks.
The compound facilities include:
• Large rubber padded boxes
• Sand rolls
• Polytrack walking rings
• Multiple wash bays
• Electronic scales
• Horse surgery

Canterbury Park offers premium facilities tailored to the needs of internationally quarantined horses.
The training centre features a fully grassed course proper with a circumference of 1567 metres, a 308-metre straight, and 24-metre width at the winning post, providing ample space for exercise and conditioning.
A 1280-metre PolyTrack with a consistent 5-metre width complements the main track, enabling versatile training options in all weather conditions.
