The Australian Turf Club’s hugely successful second annual star-studded Pink Fashion Lunch at Rosehill Gardens raised more than $37,000 to help fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia.
Celebrities and racing industry guests including Glenn McGrath, Sara Leonardi-McGrath, Rachel Griffiths, Christine Anu, Samantha Armytage, Steve Smith and wife Dani Willis, Tracy Bevan, Candice Warner, Sharon Johal and Kate Waterhouse attended the sold-out ticketed event, hosting some 470 guests.
Also taking to the stage for ATC’s Women of Influence guest speaker series was star Australian actress and director, Rachel Griffiths, talented actress Sharon Johal and Chandon Estate Director Susan Caudry who entertained guests with inspiring stories around their unique personal and professional journeys.
The McGrath Foundation hosted a silent auction featuring a bespoke pink hat featuring silk cherry blossom designed by popular milliner Ann Shoebridge and a beautiful silver tone stainless steel La Grande Classique de Longines collection watch.
Legendary Sydney jeweller Nic Cerrone kindly donated an exquisite $20,000 Cerrone necklace as the major raffle prize.
All funds raised by the McGrath Foundation throughout the lunch and across the racecourse on the day directly support the funding of McGrath Breast Care Nurses.
Australian Turf Club CEO Jamie Barkley said: “Chandon Ladies Day has quickly become one of the hottest raceday tickets on the Sydney events calendar. The best in racing, food, fashion and entertainment has struck the perfect chord for our Members, partners and raceday patrons.
“We are particularly proud of our strategic partnership with the McGrath Foundation.”
McGrath Foundation Director and Ambassador, Tracy Bevan, said: “After such a challenging 12 months it was wonderful to see people coming together at the Pink Fashion Lunch, wearing their fabulous pink outfits and having a great time in support of the McGrath Foundation.
“We are so grateful to the Australian Turf Club and everyone who attended on the day who gave so generously. It’s only through this support that we can continue to ensure families going through breast cancer have access to the free care and support of our McGrath Breast Care Nurses.”
