November 5, 2021
The Australian Turf Club welcomes the appointment of leading global wine company Accolade Wines as an official major wine partner across its five Sydney venues – Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Warwick Farm, Canterbury Park and Rosehill Bowling Club.
The new three-year partnership will showcase brands such as Petaluma, Grant Burge, St Hallett, Hardys, Bay of Fires, Katnook, Eddystone Point, Stonier and Houghton across world-class carnivals, racedays and events at Australian Turf Club venues.
The partnership with the world-leading provider of premium to mainstream wines also features the sponsorship of various features and black type races, including the running of the $130,000 Petaluma Handicap (1100m) on Golden Gift Ladies Day at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday 6 November to conclude the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival.
Melinda Madigan, Australian Turf Club Executive General Manager Commercial, said the Club is delighted to partner with Accolade Wines.
“Partnering with a global organisation such as Accolade Wines is important to the commercial success of Australian Turf Club, particularly as we continue to evolve our unique customer experience strategy, ranging from accessible mainstream through to personalised premium.
“We welcome Accolade to our world-class partnership portfolio and look forward to working with the team and their leading brands over the next three years to provide the absolute best hospitality to our patrons,” said Ms Madigan.
Accolade Wines Head of On Premise and Business Development, Andrew Walsh, said he was thrilled to partner with Australian Turf Club to showcase various wine brands at the forefront of Sydney’s social scene, whether celebrating a day at Royal Randwick or KIA Friday Night Racing at Canterbury Park.
“This announcement is a key milestone in our National On Premise Strategy at Accolade Wines. Our ambition is to partner our iconic brands such as Petaluma, St Hallett and Hardys with iconic venues across Australia and New Zealand.
“I’m thrilled that the Australian Turf Club has given us this opportunity to work with their world-class venues, talented team, loyal members and patrons,” added Mr Walsh.
With more than 27 million cases of 45+ leading brands sold across 132 countries, Accolade Wines draws on a proud heritage with Houghton established in 1836 and Hardys in 1853, to a leading global wine company producing some of the world’s best known and loved brands.
