The Australian Turf Club has partnered with DrinkWise to remind racegoers to drink responsibly while enjoying a day at the track.

DrinkWise is a not-for-profit organisation backed by many of the Australian Turf Club’s partners across its four racecourses – Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm, as well as its other licensed venue Rosehill Bowling Club.

DrinkWise CEO Simon Strahan said the partnership will allow moderation messages to be promoted across all Australian Turf Club racedays and venues through the year, helping to create a healthier and safer drinking culture.

“Partnering with the Australian Turf Club will allow DrinkWise to promote moderation tips to racegoers before and during raceday, allowing them to enjoy the social aspects of racing in a safe and responsible manner,” Mr Strahan said.

“We want to remind racing fans choosing to have a drink that they won’t miss any of the fantastic moments if they DrinkWise.”

Australian Turf Club Executive General Manager of Commercial Corina Black said racegoers had a range of options to enjoy a raceday in moderation.

“Each of our racecourses and venues offer a range of food and beverage options to suit every taste across Members Reserve spaces and General Admission areas,” Ms Black said.

“We encourage and applaud the efforts of DrinkWise who are engaging with major events across Australia to promote safe and moderate alcohol consumption whilst enjoying a great social day out.”
