AUSTRALIAN TURF CLUB FOUNDATION CALLS FOR FIFTH ROUND OF GRANTS

The Australian Turf Club Foundation has again opened invitations for registered charities and racing industry bodies to request project-related grants of up to $150,000.

It is the fifth round of applications sought by the ATC Foundation since it was established in 2018.

ATC Foundation funds are raised through the sale of merchandise including official Everest pins, Golden Eagle pins, on-course fundraising and saddle cloth auctions, as well as donations from ATC Members.

The Foundation this year again also received a generous donation from Mr Bon Ho, the owner of 2021 TAB Everest runner Classique Legend, with $50,000 from prizemoney earned from this year’s race.

More than $1 million has already been raised since 2018 and distributed by the ATC Foundation to charities and racing participants across NSW, including communities around the Club’s racecourses.

Australian Turf Club Foundation Chair Trish Egan said applications for the latest round of grants close on Thursday 23 December, 2021, at 5pm.

“The Australian Turf Club is proud of the work it does for racing and local communities, and the ATC Foundation is one of the cornerstones of our engagement with people across NSW,’’ Ms Egan said.

“The Foundation invites all registered charities and those involved in racing to make an application and we particularly look forward to quickly distributing donations.’’
