Australian Turf Club donates raceday food to food relief charities

After the postponement of Longines Golden Slipper Day, our culinary team ensured that no food went to waste, with fresh produce and pre-prepared meals donated to various food relief charities across Sydney. Rosehill Gardens Executive Chef Gerry Maher explains that minimising food wastage is a key focus for the Australian Turf Club for all of our racedays and events.
The Australian Turf Club sent more than 180 dozen oysters, 160kg peeled prawns, over 4000 sandwiches/salads, 2000 fruit boxes, 280kg variety of fruit and vegetables, 120kg beef fillet, 200kg fish fillet to those facing food insecurity.
