AUSTRALIAN TURF CLUB APPOINTS BEN BAYOT TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

May 14, 2021

The Australian Turf Club has appointed a new Director to its Board to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Phil Morley.

Mr Ben Bayot – a leading executive in the services industry and a racehorse owner and long-time ATC Member – fills the casual vacancy, effective from 12 May, 2021.

Mr Bayot will serve the remainder of Mr Morley’s term before being eligible for re-election by Australian Turf Club Members at the 2022 Annual General Meeting.

Australian Turf Club Chairman Matthew McGrath welcomed and congratulated Mr Bayot’s appointment from a large number of candidates.

“We were delighted to receive more than 40 applications from Australian Turf Club Members to fill the vacancy,” Mr McGrath said.

“Ben brings a wide range of business skills and experience including success as an executive in delivering services to commercial, hospitality, stadia and entertainment sectors amongst many others.

“Ben also brings great passion and involvement in Sydney racing and the Australian Turf Club, and we welcome his addition to a strong and diverse Board.”
