ATC supports Ronald McDonald House with home-cooked meals

July 4, 2021

The Australian Turf Club kitchen team at Rosehill Gardens was busy ahead of this weekend, volunteering their time and fresh produce to make more than 450 meals for the Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney ‘Meals from the Heart’ program.

All donated food was pre-cooked, individually packaged and delivered to Ronald McDonald House in a COVID-Safe process, before being re-distributed to families in need over the weekend.

The meals included roasted herb chicken, roast meat in gravy, roast vegetables, lamb bolognaise with penne pasta, chocolate brownie cake and vanilla sponge cake.

Meals from the Heart is a group volunteering program, providing families staying at Ronald McDonald House Westmead with a home-cooked meal three nights a week. Often parents and carers of seriously ill children simply do not have the time, funds or energy to prepare a meal after an emotional day at hospital. Families find comfort in coming home to a healthy home-cooked meal.

The Australian Turf Club and ATC Foundation are proud to support charities such as Ronald McDonald House.
