Trainers and connections have until Friday to submit a formal Expression of Interest for the Australian Turf Club’s slot in the $10 million The Everest, the world’s richest race on turf.

“The ATC has received strong interest from across Australia and overseas and we are giving all trainers and owners of high quality horses the chance to put together a proposal,’’ ATC Chief Executive Darren Pearce said.

“After the deadline closes on June 30, the ATC Board and management will take some time through July to decide upon the best runner to represent the Club.’’

The $10 million The Everest will be run at Royal Randwick on 14 October as part of an enhanced Sydney Spring Carnival, run and promoted in partnership between the ATC and Racing NSW.
