AUSTRALIAN TURF CLUB BUILDS NEW INFIELD PRECINCT AT ROYAL RANDWICK

21 August, 2026

The 2026 Sydney Everest Carnival is breaking all ticket sale records, with a looming sell-out on TAB Everest Day forcing the Australian Turf Club to expand crowd capacity for the world’s richest race on turf.

Corporate hospitality for TAB Everest Day is already sold out across the racecourse, prompting a new 1,000-person capacity premium hospitality venue, the TAB Clubhouse, going on sale.

TAB Clubhouse, a joint ATC, Racing NSW and TAB initiative, will offer corporate hospitality with elevated views along the home straight, adjacent to the Royal Randwick winning post.

General Admission tickets are selling at twice the rate of last year, which will see the “house full” sign put up a month in advance of the 17 October extravaganza.

It will be the third consecutive sold out racing and entertainment event for the running of the world’s richest race on turf, the Group 1 $20 million TAB Everest.

ATC CEO Steve McMahon said: “This is just the beginning.  TAB Clubhouse is more than a new venue, it’s a statement about where we’re heading.

“As the TAB Everest continues to grow, we’ll keep investing in new precincts, new experiences and new ways to bring more people closer to the action at Royal Randwick.”

Kent Madders, GM Marketing Tabcorp said “TAB is a proud partner of the world’s richest race on turf that fittingly sees 12 of the world’s best sprinters over 1,200m battle it out in the TAB Everest.

“Each year we passionately commit to lifting our customers and racing fans entertainment experience, and with the introduction of the TAB Clubhouse, the 2026 event will give fans a new premium experience that adds even more “green” to Randwick.

“TAB has been there since the first running of The Everest and the 10th instalment at Randwick this year will see it be bigger, better and greener than ever before.”

The unprecedented rush on tickets coincides with the launch of the ATC’s, ‘Be Here For It’ marketing campaign in anticipation of the 2026 Sydney Everest Carnival.

The ‘Be Here For It’ campaign launched on 18 August is built on the belief that the best moments are experienced in person. The campaign showcases Sydney Everest Carnival’s unique blend of world-class racing, premium hospitality, fashion and entertainment, while reflecting the ATC’s ambition to keep raising the bar and creating experiences people don’t want to miss.

The Sydney Everest Carnival spans eight weeks at Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens. With the opening day of the carnival, Sydney Surf to Turf Day on September 19 at Royal Randwick, leading into Yulong Golden Rose Day at Rosehill Gardens on September 26, and the pinnacle event, the TAB Everest, on October 17. Each raceday is crafted to offer a unique atmosphere, combining thrilling races with exceptional hospitality and entertainment options.

In line with the ‘Be Here For It’ campaign, the ATC has introduced several enhancements to enrich the raceday experience.

These include expanded premium dining options, live music performances, and fashion showcases, all designed to create an immersive environment that reflects the energy and excitement of live racing.

Two new vibrant social destinations will elevate the raceday experience at Royal Randwick. Located behind the Officials Stand in the heart of Members, The Promenade combines premium bars, great food, a big screen and live entertainment in a beautifully designed outdoor setting. Whilst, on the ground floor of the Winx Stand for all General Admission ticket holders, The Paddock brings together leading food brands, a statement bar, live race vision and entertainment in a lively, casual setting.

The Pamper Pavilion returns to Royal Randwick, offering complimentary makeup touch-ups and to enjoy express hairstyling, and a complimentary glass of Chandon on arrival. Located at the Octagonal Lawn, the Pamper Pavilion is the destination for racegoers looking to refresh their look before stepping trackside.

When the racing concludes, the entertainment continues with After the Last. Free for all racegoers, After the Last transforms the racecourse into Sydney’s ultimate post-race destination, with live music and entertainment following racing across select days at Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens. Artist announcements will be revealed in the lead-up to the carnival.

Tickets for the 2026 Sydney Everest Carnival are now available, with General Admission starting at $25 for Rosehill Gardens and $35 for Royal Randwick.
