Big Fields Lift Up For The Challenge At Rosehill Gardens

A capacity field in the black type feature of the day at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday continues Sydney racing’s recent run of big numbers across the 10-race program.

The Listed $200,000 Toyota Forklifts Winter Challenge sees 18 runners and two emergencies clash on a card which has attracted 159 entries.

Five of the ten races have capacity fields plus emergencies – including the last three legs of the main TAB Quaddie.

The Bjorn Baker trained Midnight Dynamite with Tommy Berry aboard opens a $3.80 TAB Fixed Odds favourite in the Toyota Forklifts Winter Challenge.

Berry is looking for his third win in the race since 2015 while Baker is looking for back-to-back wins in the race following last year’s winner Robusto.

The trainer also has War Eternal (Rachel King), which opens at $9.50 TAB.

General Salute from the Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou stable is the $4.80 second favourite, to be ridden by Nash Rawiller.

Saturday continues the ATC’s Winter Long Lunch – a three-course five-hour dining experience in Rosehill Gardens’ Winning Post Restaurant or Royal Randwick’s prestigious Chairman’s Club.
