Step into a vibrant day of Winter racing at Rosehill Gardens as the Smithfield RSL San Domenico Stakes takes centre stage, delivering one of the key early season tests for emerging three-year-old talent.
Run over 1100 metres, this Group 3 contest has long been a proving ground for future stars, with a roll call of winners that includes Sir Dapper (1983), Our Maizcay (1995) and Testa Rossa (1999). Named in honour of champion sprinter San Domenico, the race carries a rich sense of heritage while showcasing the next generation of speed on the rise.
Following the running of race 2, there will be an exhibition gallop by the Annabel & Rob Archibald trained Chayan (Zac Lloyd) over 1000m.
