TAB Everest Day Sold Out Again, Cementing Its Reign As Sydney’s Ultimate Spring Event

Returning bigger than ever, TAB Everest Day officially sold out for the second consecutive year, reaffirming its status as Sydney’s most exhilarating day of sport, style and celebration.

“50,000 people filling Royal Randwick, a sell-out TAB Everest Day for the second year running – this is more than success, it’s a statement. The TAB Everest has become a symbol of what makes Sydney come alive – energy, passion and shared celebration. From world-class racing to unforgettable entertainment, it’s inspiring to see so many, especially younger audiences, making this day their own.” – Head of Commercial, Donna Forbes

Key Information:

● As the pinnacle of the Sydney Everest Carnival, TAB Everest Day returned to Royal Randwick on Saturday 18 October and sold out for the second consecutive year since its launch in 2017.
● With over 50,000 racegoers joining the celebrations, this milestone was a true reflection of the event’s incredible momentum and growing popularity, particularly among younger audiences. Fifty-four percent of General Admission attendees were aged under 34, highlighting TAB Everest Day’s unique appeal as both a world-class racing spectacle and one of Sydney’s most anticipated social occasions.

Entertainment & Atmosphere

● At the heart of the action was the $20 million Group 1 TAB Everest, the world’s richest race on turf, alongside the $5 million Group 1 King Charles III Stakes, both headlining a 10-race card that delivered world-class competition and an electric atmosphere.
● Racegoers enjoyed a full day of entertainment and premium hospitality experiences, including the Peacock Lounge presented by Balter in the Winx Stand – a vibrant destination that brought a festival spirit to the track with DJs, live music, and flowing beers and bubbles, creating a party atmosphere from the first race to the last. Celebrity chef George Mirosevich headlined the menu with his Balter Beer-Battered Lobster Roll, created exclusively for the event.
● Following the now-iconic Sweet Caroline singalong before the TAB Everest, the After the Last concert series lit up Royal Randwick with an unmissable performance by international DJ Nathan Dawe, ensuring celebrations continued well into the evening.
