New Date Confirmed for Extraordinary General Meeting – Rosehill Gardens Proposal
15 April, 2025
A new Extraordinary General Meeting on a revised date of Tuesday 27 May 2025 has been set for ATC Members to vote on the proposed sale of Rosehill Gardens.
This new date ensures Members have adequate time to consider both the “Yes” and “No” cases in full and reflects public holiday impacts around Easter and ANZAC Day, which reduced the available working days to prepare necessary materials.
In a further commitment to fairness and transparency, the ATC Board extended the timeline to allow further information to be developed, including a full Explanatory Memorandum and perspectives from both sides of the debate. These will be distributed as part of the Notice of Meeting, to be sent to all Members by 6 May 2025, in accordance with the Corporations Act 2001.
The information provided to Members will include perspectives from both the “Yes” and “No” positions, as well as further detail on broader plans for the future of Sydney racing.
The 27th of May is a new meeting, and because members are voting on new resolutions, constitutionally that means the voting process must start afresh and Members are required to vote again.
This vote is one of the most significant in the Club’s history. All Members are urged to review the material and make their voices heard in this critically important decision on the future of Sydney racing.
