Five Things to Expect on The Star Championships Day 2
The Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival hits peak excitement at Royal Randwick on Saturday for The Star Championships Day 2.
Here are five things to expect.
1. World-class Racing
Four Group 1 races feature on the program headlined by the $5 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes which has international runners from UK and Japan. Champion mare Via Sistina is aiming to join Winx and win seven Group 1 races in a season.
Other Group 1 races on the day include the 160th running of the Schweppes Sydney Cup, Asahi Super Dry Australian Oaks and TAB Queen of the Turf.
2. Peacock Lounge presented by Balter
The Peacock Lounge, presented by Balter, is the place to be this Saturday!
Situated in the Winx Stand, this lively spot features cocktails, DJs, pool tables, and an electric atmosphere, all just steps from the racing action!
You can also indulge in specialty dishes like Karaage Chicken, Lamb Kofta, burgers, and more. Entry is free with your ticket.
3. Fantastic Food and Drink
Check some of the delicious options across the racecourse including in the Peacock Lounge presented by Balter, the new Mexican Tacoria and a variety of food trucks to cater for everyone.
The Smokehouse is back serving up some favourites including an 18-hour smoked brisket, burnt ends and cheeseburgers.
You will also find plenty of options from Asahi Beverages across the course. Visit the revamped Tote House serving 8 diverse taps, from the crisp Peroni Nastro Azzurro to refreshing Hard Rated!
