Expect Pink This Chandon Ladies Day at Rosehill Gardens with the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation
25 January, 2024
The Australian Turf Club is proud to announce its partnership with the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation for the 2024 Pink Fashion Lunch on Chandon Ladies Day, Saturday 16 March at Rosehill Gardens.
The partnership stands to raise vital awareness and necessary funds for Breast Cancer detection and diagnosis technologies, treatment, and recovery as well as hardship funding and community support programs. The Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation also largely contributes to genomic research and the development of specialised fellowships, which have established cutting edge advancements including the SBCF tissue bank. This enables targeted treatment and is a key driver for the reduction of breast cancer mortality rates.
100% of the donations raised at the Pink Fashion Lunch on Chandon Ladies Day go to the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation, with 100% of those funds being directed straight to the cause supporting crucial initiatives like early detection programmes, critical equipment, treatment, hardship funding, and community support programs. It is a special way to commence the six-week Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival, and an important cause to provide support and awareness to.
Foundation Chair, Lynne Crookes OAM, said, “We are thrilled to partner with the Australian Turf Club’s Pink Fashion Lunch to be held at Rosehill Racecourse on Saturday 16 March 2024.
Sydney Breast Cancer Foundations mission is to improve the early detection of breast cancer, the quality of life and survival rates of breast cancer patients. We aim to encourage more women to get regular screenings; Breast Cancer is not a discriminator, it affects women of all ages, and through partnerships like these we endeavour to reach new communities who will benefit from this awareness.
Be breast aware, know your body, early detection is vital. This message will save lives.” Australian Turf Club CEO, Matt Galanos said the Pink Fashion Lunch is a great opportunity for people to come together and experience food, fashion, entertainment, and racing, all while supporting a deserving cause.
“The Australian Turf Club is pleased to partner with Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation for the 2024 Pink Fashion Lunch on Chandon Ladies Day. We are looking forward to seeing Rosehill Garden in a sea of pink, raising funds and awareness for a cause that affects so many Australians. It is always great to see people from all walks of life come together to celebrate a cause that does so much for so many, all while enjoying the fun, fashion, racing, food and entertainment on offer.”
The Australian Turf Club is honoured to partner with the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation as they continue to support the men and women so bravely facing the fight of their lives.
