2022 LONGINES GOLDEN SLIPPER BARRIER DRAW

March 16, 2022

The stage is set for Saturday’s Group 1 $5 million Longines Golden Slipper following Tuesday’s barrier draw at Rosehill Gardens.

Talent filly Coolangatta from the Maher-Eustace stable will have to overcome barrier 14 (barrier 11 excluding emergencies) with James McDonald set to ride.

Sejardan is rated among the top chances and drew well in barrier seven with regular jockey Jason Collett in the saddle. Portelli also lines up filly Fireburn as he looks for success in the race for the second time having won with She Will Reign in 2017.

Queensland trainer Kacy Fogden saddles up her first Longines Golden Slipper runner in unbeaten Snitzel colt Best Of Bordeaux (barrier 10).
