10 UNMISSABLE HIGHLIGHTS ON TAB EPSOM DAY

The Sydney Everest Carnival continues at Royal Randwick on Saturday for TAB Epsom Day featuring three Group 1 races and plenty of entertainment.

Here are 9 things you don’t want to miss when you’re at trackside. Gates open at 10.30am for members and 10.45am for all other guests with race 1 at 11.50am.

If you are looking for fashion inspiration wear green to encourage bold colours. Head to the Theatre of the Horse for the After the Last performance from Queen Forever.

1. Experience the TAB Dome
Step inside the future of betting at the TAB Dome, get the inside scoop about the new TAB app and the powerful tools and features it provides. A purpose-built APP LAB has been designed to place bets and watch the days races. Head to the TAB Dome to experience racing like never before.

2. Grab a TAB Everest Trophy opportunity
Have your photo snapped with the TAB Everest trophy outside the Queen Elizabeth II Grandstand near the Theatre of The Horse. This iconic masterpiece has been designed by Nic Cerrone and his team who partnered with Racing NSW to create this beautiful trophy worth $600k! The base has been crafted to replicate the actual Everest mountain, while the race horse comprises of approx. 550ct of black diamonds, 32 ct of white diamonds and two rubies for eyes. The $15 million TAB Everest, the world’s richest race on turf, is run at Royal Randwick on 15 October.

3. Members Shoe Shining 10.15am – 2.15pm
Bring your favourite shoes along for a unique experience, this complimentary shoe shining will get your best pair of dress shoes or heels looking like brand new. You will be looking sharper and feeling better.

4. Glam up at the Glam House
Step inside The Glam House, a precinct to ensure you look your best all day long! With hair and make up artists on hand for quick touch ups, a perfume parlour for a refresh, fashion illustrators ready to sketch your raceday look and race day essentials. Find out more here.

5. TAB Epsom with plenty of big names – 4.05pm
The $1.5 million Group 1 TAB Epsom has a rich history and one of the highlights of the Sydney Everest Carnival. There is no shortage of stars lining up in the race with Icebath favoured to break through for a Group 1 victory. Top Ranked will be out to win again while Chris Waller has a good hand in the race with Fangirl, Kiku, and Hinged.

6. TAB Everest contenders on show – 3.25pm
Some of the big names to contest the TAB Everest on 15 October will step out in the Group 2 Bisley Workwear Premiere Stakes (1200m). It’s the final run for some before they race in the world’s richest race on turf. Lost And Running, Masked Crusader, Mazu and Overpass will feature and have all secured a slot in the $15 million sprint.

7. Check out the world-class WINX Stand
The impressive WINX Stand named after the legendary mare is open to all racegoers to enjoy. The ground floor will feature DJ and food outlets which opens up on to the Leger lawn to get close to the racing action. Upstairs in The Gallery North Room will feature a sports bar with bespoke food offering and betting activation. While The Gallery South has DJs with cocktails and tapas. The open terrace is also home to the Happy Clapper Bar which has one of the best views on track. See what’s on at the WINX Stand here.

8. Indulge in raceday fare
We’ve enhanced 24 food & beverage outlets leading into Spring. Members can head to the Carbine Café to find boutique finger sandwiches including the iconic crab, house-made signature desserts and fine coffee. The Epsom Cheese and Wine Bar by Petaluma provides shared platters and artisan cheese and salumi from predominantly New South Wales producers. The adjacent Kensington Room will offer a twist on the much-loved pie and mash combination. Oaks Café will serve market fresh seafood cooked to order including the popular Furphy beer battered fish and fat chips.

On the members’ lawn a new American-style smokehouse will serve slow-cooked beef brisket and signature burgers. Also check out the divine handmade Espresso Martini from the iconic Mr Black Airstream Van, or Lobster & Co’s iconic Lobster Roll served with a glass of Champagne and Truffle Parmesan Fries.

9. Grab a refreshing drink at the Canadian Club Bar
Looking for that ‘Perfect Serve’ for this year’s Sydney Everest Carnival? Stop by the Canadian Club Bar located at Truckstop for a chilled CC & Dry… flowing all season long straight from the tap…served fresh over ice with a wedge of lime.

10. Dance to the Queen Classics at 5.35pm
The Australian Queen Tribute band Queen Forever is performing after the last, be blown away by incredible visuals and costumes replicated to perfection. Queen forever will be playing all the biggest hits and is sure to be a phenomenal end to a day of world class racing.
